Our founder
Dr. Shikha Gupta spent her career treating the patients who could reach AIIMS. She founded EyeSetu for the ones who couldn't.
Dr. Gupta completed her MBBS, MD in Ophthalmology, and super-speciality glaucoma training entirely at AIIMS, New Delhi — one of the most competitive clinical training pathways in the country. She rose from resident to consultant to Additional Professor at Dr. R.P. Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, a role she held from 2016.
In October 2025, after 17 years at AIIMS, Dr. Gupta stepped down to found EyeSetu — a decision shaped by a pattern she saw repeatedly in clinic: patients who needed regular monitoring but for whom a hospital visit was a full-day undertaking that eventually stopped happening. EyeSetu launched in January 2026 to remove that barrier.
