Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information EyeSetu collects when you use this website or book an eye test with us, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Who we are
This website is run by EyeSetu Medicare Private Limited (“EyeSetu”, “we”, “us”), which provides eye tests at home in Delhi and Gurugram. Our head office is at 26 – Basement, National Park, Lajpat Nagar 4, New Delhi 110024.
Information we collect
- Details you give us when you request a callback, book a test or send an enquiry: your name, phone number, email address (where asked), city, who the test is for, the service you are interested in, and anything you write in the message box. Healthcare professionals may also share their role and clinic or organisation.
- Health information when we examine you or a family member: eye and medical history, test results, eye images and scans, prescriptions and reports. We collect this only to provide care, and only with your consent (or a parent’s or guardian’s consent for a child).
- Usage information collected automatically when you browse: device and browser type, pages visited, approximate location from your IP address, and how you arrived at the site. We use cookies and Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) for this.
How we use it
- To call or message you back, confirm your appointment and send reminders.
- To carry out your eye test, have your results reviewed by an ophthalmologist, and share the report with you and with any family members you ask us to include.
- To coordinate follow-up care, including referrals to partner hospitals, when you ask us to.
- To answer your questions and handle complaints.
- To understand how the website is used, improve it, and protect it from spam and misuse.
- To meet legal and regulatory obligations, such as keeping medical records.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your health information for advertising.
Who we share it with
- Our own doctors, optometrists and care coordinators, who need it to look after you.
- Hospitals or specialists we refer you to, only with your agreement.
- Service providers who help us run our services, such as website hosting, messaging (for example WhatsApp) and analytics (Google), who must keep it confidential.
- Government or law-enforcement authorities, where the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to measure visits and improve the website through Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for as long as needed to respond and follow up. Medical records are kept for the period required by Indian law. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, where the law does not require us to keep it (we act on deletion requests within 30 days);
- stop using information you gave us with your consent (this does not affect care already provided).
You can nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Eye tests for children are booked by a parent or guardian, who gives consent on the child’s behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Keeping your information safe
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, and access to health information is limited to the people caring for you. No way of storing or sending information online is completely secure, but we work to protect it and will inform you and the authorities of any breach as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date it was last updated.
